Sign Stipend Promissory Note by Friday, June 2nd
Complete Personal Information Form by 8 pm on May 11th 

Please check here frequently to stay on top of important information collecting deadlines. 

All individuals that completed the Summer Training Information Survey by May 11th were able to opt into the housing model of their choosing. You will be receiving additional guidance early next week regarding how to sign your promissory notes with your unique pin number.

Promissory notes MUST be signed by Friday, June 2nd. Failure to take action on signing your promissory note will mean that you delay when you are able to receive your stipend and in some circumstances may put you in jeopardy of receiving stipends for this summer. Complete Chicago Public Schools (CPS) TFA Student Teaching Registration by Thursday, June 8th

​

All incoming corps members must complete this registration form in order to be eligible to teach summer school during Summer Training. This student teaching form should take between 5-10 minutes to complete and allows Chicago Public Schools gather important information about you before you're able to enter a classroom this summer. If this form is not completed by Thursday, June 8th you may put yourself in jeopardy of not being able to teach this summer.

Watch and to get a high level overview of Summer Training, what you can expect your schedule to generally look like, and information on how to prepare for Registration Day on Tuesday, June 13th. You may review our updated Schedules, Registration Day, and What to Bring tabs that are referenced within the webinar for additional details.

Once you watch the webinar, complete this brief quiz so that we’re able to document your viewing and acknowledgement of this important information.

There are a lot of things that go into planning for your arrival! Completion of your Personal Information Form is required to ensure that we readily prepare for you to join us this summer.

Complete this Personal Information Form by the deadlines below. Failure to do so may result in you being slated into a residential model not of your choosing and missing out on important information regarding financial support during the summer.

Summer Training Pre-work

​

This pre-work is a collection of articles, videos, stories and pedagogy meant to be a primer—a seed, if you will—for all the training and development you’ll engage in much deeper with us in June and July. We hope this plants the seed and gets you reflecting about this work in new ways.

​

Before you get started:

  • We estimate the pre-work to take about 15 hours to complete, which is why we are sending it about two months before it is due on May 28th.

  • You should plan to work through this at your own pace. Some will find it easiest to do in one sitting, while others may choose to finish it over a few days or weeks.

  • It is meant to incorporate your expression style—you may record and upload videos and submit the links for your reflections; you may write a poem or share a personal essay—however you choose to reflect, please ensure it’s captured in the Submission Form (see below).

Once you’re ready to begin:

  1. Download the pre-work package here. This package houses all of the required content and guiding questions you’ll engage with.

  2. Once you’re ready to submit your reflections, open the Prework Submissions Form here. Enter all your reflections accordingly in the form and once you’re done, hit ‘Submit’ to record your answers.

​

All pre-work submissions are due in full by midnight on Sunday, May 28th. Our Summer Training team is excited to dig into your reflections that week as we prepare for Day 1.
