Program Cost:
-
Elementary corps members: $14,880
-
Middle School/Secondary corps members: $11,250
If you attend CCSJ you will be prompted to complete the FAFSA to cover the upfront tuition costs and then release your AmeriCorps awards in Summer 2017 and Summer 2018 to re-pay the FAFSA. Whereas Corps Members in Illinois will have out-of-pocket expenses, the cost of CCSJ's program matches the AmeriCorps award and there should be little, to no, out of pocket cost assumed on your behalf.*

Application Process:
-
November-June: Read about CCSJ on the hub, ask the Onboarding team questions (no direct action)
-
June: During Summer Training you will have an orientation with CCSJ. during that session you will learn how to "apply" to the program and next steps to get ready for the fall (this will include submitting official transcripts, completing a CPR/First Aid training and a short essay). There will be an application fee of $25.00.
-
July: Continue submitting necessary file items for your application and apply for FAFSA
-
August: Coursework begins, end of the month
What happens if you are hired in Northwest Indiana after already applying to Relay?
If you are hired in Northwest Indiana during summer training we will work with you to refund costs you incurred preparing to teach in Illinois (testing and application fee's). We will also set you up to register for CCSJ.
*Calumet College of St. Joseph is still deciding its graduate credit hour cost. If there are any changes to the above predicted tuition we will let you know
